Handmade in my North Berwick studio, this personalised sterling silver coastline ring transforms a place that means something to you into a bespoke piece of jewellery. Whether it's the beach where you grew up, the coastline where you got engaged, a favourite island or somewhere you'll always return to, every ring is individually handcrafted to tell your story.

Your chosen stretch of coastline is carefully hand-pierced from eco-friendly 100% recycled sterling silver, creating two separate pieces that represent the land and the sea. Designed to sit neatly together on your finger, one half has a matt finish while the other is polished, creating a subtle contrast that brings your chosen landscape to life.

A flush-set gemstone marks the exact place that's most meaningful to you. Choose from a variety of sustainably sourced gemstones; white diamond, black diamond or blue sapphire to celebrate an engagement spot, your favourite beach, family home or another special location. The result is a unique silver ring that's equally suited as an alternative wedding ring, anniversary gift or personal keepsake.

After you've placed your order, Hannah will create a mock-up of your chosen coastline before making your ring by hand, giving you the chance to approve the design before work begins.

  • We need enough coastline to go right around the band. Just let me know the place you have in mind and I’ll take a look at the map to find the right scale. Sometimes it works best to zoom right in on a single bay, other times a longer stretch of coast works better. I’ll send over a mock-up before we start.

  • This ring is available in 6mm and 8mm widths. Most people choose the 8mm ring for larger hands and the 6mm ring for smaller hands, but there are no rules. If you're unsure, Hannah can help you choose the best width and arrange a ring measuring service before you order.

  • The coastline ring is made in two separate pieces - land and sea. If the sizing is spot on, they sit snug on your finger and stay together as you wear it. They’re not fixed, so if the ring is loose or your hands are cold, the halves may move.

  • Yes. You can choose a white diamond, black diamond or blue sapphire to mark a meaningful place along your coastline. Each stone is flush-set into the ring for a clean, contemporary finish.

  • Yes - I can set an ethically sourced flush diamond or sapphire into one half of the ring to mark a particular location. Just let me know where, and I’ll send you a layout to confirm the perfect placement.

  • Many customers choose to mark where they got engaged, married or first met, while others choose a favourite beach, family home or holiday destination. Hannah will position the stone exactly where you'd like it on your chosen coastline.

  • Each ring is presented in our signature pebble-shaped box, which is made from sustainable mulberry paper. You'll also receive a polishing cloth, Scotch-Brite, and a care guide so you can keep your ring looking its best for years to come.

  • Once you've ordered, Hannah will email you to discuss your coastline and gemstone placement. She'll create a digital mock-up for you to approve before handcrafting your ring in her North Berwick studio. Every ring is made to order from 100% recycled sterling silver and hallmarked by the Edinburgh Assay Office.
