jewellery REMODELLING, reworking and upcycyling
If you want a bespoke and personal piece in Hannah’s own unique style, Hannah will work closely with you to remodel your old jewellery into something you’ll be excited to wear. From start to finish, Hannah will personally talk you through the design possibilities and costings which will be dependent on whether you have enough metal for the whole ring, or just a contribution towards it. Using your unworn heirloom jewellery is a lovely way to add sentimentality to your design and it will help towards the final price of your bespoke design.
HOW IT WORKS
Each remodel is completely bespoke, designed in Hannah’s signature style with you in mind. You can:
Use your own gold or silver – We can melt it down and create something new.
Reset heirloom gemstones – Breathe new life into family diamonds, sapphires, or other stones.
Combine old and new – If you don’t have enough metal, we can top up with recycled metal to create the final design .
Every piece tells a story, and we’ll help you create something that feels just as special as the original – but in a way that really suits you and something you can hand down for future generations.
How much does jewellery remodelling cost?
Every remodel is different, but here’s a rough idea of costs if we are using your own metal and gemstones, if you need a little extra metal or want to add more diamonds, sapphires or other gemstones, the price increases:
Two-part ring– From £750
Three-part ring – From £850
Platinum remodel – From £950
Plain band – From £350
Stone setting (existing or new gemstones) – From £95 - £350 depending on size and shape
For a personalised quote, get in touch and we’ll talk through your options.
If you’re using heirloom stones, we’ll take the utmost care with them. Older gems can have hidden flaws, so while we’ll always handle them gently, we can’t take responsibility for any damage during setting.
How Long Does jewellery remodelling Take?
We estimate around 12-16 weeks to complete a remodel.

When you’ve got ingredients like this to use, it’s going to end up beautiful! A combination of engagement, wedding, and eternity rings, melted down and remodelled into a new coastline ring. 18ct white gold, with the line of the River Clyde as it runs through the centre of Glasgow. A lovely big square diamond surrounded by sparkly flush sets, matt gold for the south side of Glasgow, polished for the north side.

One of my favourite and most blingtastic remodels this year. What a sparkler!! So many amazing ingredients to work with, and lots of diamonds left over which are going to go in a ring for my customer's mum. We started with all the pieces you see in my hand, removed all the stones, and then melted down the metal to form the new rings in time for the wedding, choosing the placement of all the diamonds half way through the process. The coastline is a local East Lothian one, from Longniddry to Dunbar. A matching Coastline ring was made for the Groom.

Hannah’s works from her studio in North Berwick, Scotland so we’re very close to Glasgow, Edinburgh and the surrounding areas but we can create bespoke remodelled jewellery for customers all over the UK. If you’re looking for the best jewellery remodelling near you, we’re happy to work remotely via email or video consultations.
-
It depends! If you’re using your own gold and stones, remodelling can be more affordable than buying a completely new piece. However, the labour-intensive process of melting and reshaping metal means that sometimes, the cost isn’t significantly lower than a new piece—especially if additional materials are needed.
