A first long run. A climb that pushed you further than expected. A place you shared with someone important.

This ring is a way of keeping that special journey with you.

Using a route you’ve tracked on or photographed, I create a custom ring where the line of your route is translated into a continuous form around the band. It might follow the elevation of a climb, the outline of a trail, or the rhythm of a route that holds a memory for you.

Each ring is made by hand in my North Berwick studio, using recycled precious metals. The line is carefully refined so it sits comfortably on the finger while still holding the character of your original route.

You can choose to add a small diamond to mark a specific moment - a summit, a turning point, or the finish - or keep the line uninterrupted and simple.

  • Band is soft matte on one half and polished on the other

Each ring is handmade to order and typically takes 2-3 weeks. If you have a specific date in mind, please let us know and Hannah will do her best to get it made for you in time.

Coastline Ring FAQ

  • We need enough coastline to go right around the band. Just let me know the place you have in mind and I’ll take a look at the map to find the right scale. Sometimes it works best to zoom right in on a single bay, other times a longer stretch of coast works better. I’ll send over a mock-up before we start.

  • The coastline ring is made in two separate pieces - land and sea. If the sizing is spot on, they sit snug on your finger and stay together as you wear it. They’re not fixed, so if the ring is loose or your hands are cold, the halves may move.

  • Yes - I can set an ethically sourced flush diamond into one half of the ring to mark a particular location. Just let me know where, and I’ll send you a layout to confirm the perfect placement.

  • Absolutely. I work in recycled silver, gold and platinum. You can choose any combination of precious metals. I don’t work in non-precious metals.

  • Yes - like all jewellery, your ring will evolve with wear, but it’s easy to bring the ring back to it’s original look. Over time, the matte side will gradually burnish and the polished side may pick up fine scratches. I include a little care kit with every ring so you can refresh the textures at home if you wish, or just contact me.

  • Each ring is presented in our signature pebble-shaped box, which is made from sustainable mulberry paper. You'll also receive a polishing cloth, Scotch-Brite, and a care guide so you can keep your ring looking its best for years to come.
