A rich red ruby, July's birthstone, set in a 9ct yellow gold bezel on an organic silver disc pendant finished with my signature Cove texture.
Each necklace is made to order in my North Berwick studio, starting with recycled sterling silver which I roll and work by hand into the softly curved, organic shape of the pendant. I then build up my signature sand-like texture across the surface.
The 4mm natural ruby is responsibly sourced and set in solid 9ct yellow gold. I form the gold bezel by hand to fit the stone, before carefully setting the ruby into place on the pendant.
Ruby is July’s birthstone, so you might choose it to mark your own birthday or someone important to you. Or it may simply be the stone you're most drawn to. The rich red ruby and warm 9ct gold make a strong contrast against the textured silver.
As I use natural gemstones, each ruby will vary slightly from the image shown.
