RING SIZING GUIDE

If you’re considering purchasing a handmade coastline, mountain or skyline ring for yourself or someone special, it’s important that we get your ring size measured prior. All designs are made to order and some of the wider band and split rings may be a little tricky to resize so we recommend adding our free ring measuring service to your order.

It’s important to get the size right if we can, so we will assist as much as we can to help. If time allows, we can send you a plastic sizer to get an approximate size, then send a silver sample ring to double check. When choosing the correct ring size to order, please take into account the ring’s width, as half a size up may be needed to allow for our wide rings to slide over the knuckle.

If you have any questions at all, please reach out to us and we will be happy to help.

For our slimmer one-piece rings and rings in our Elements collection, check out our ring measuring guide below.

How to find your ring size

  • If you already own a ring that fits the desired finger, you can simply use our downloadable ring size guide to check the ring size. Make sure to measure the inside diameter. Then find the circle that is closest to the size of your ring.

  • Carefully cut out the ring sizer from our downloadable ring size guide, remembering to cut out the slit on the right hand size.

Wrap the ring sizer around your desired finger so it sits comfortably against your skin. The letter that appears is your ring size.

  • If you’d like us to send you a plastic ring sizer in the post to gauge your ring size, please contact us.

  • An alternative is to pop to a friendly jeweller’s shop and ask them to measure your finger for a WIDE flat band (if you use a slim sizer you will not get an accurate measurement).

  • Another way is to buy a cheap costume ring for a few pounds that is the perfect size, then send it to Hannah to be measured.

FAQ

I ordered the wrong size, can you resize my ring?

Most of our rings are very tricky to resize because of the two part design, so it's best to get it right first time if we can. Where gemstones are involved this becomes even tricker, so if you have any doubts on the sizing please contact Hannah beforehand. If there has been an error in the size ordered, some rings can be resized dependent on the design.

There will be a fee of £30 to re-size your plain coastline, mountain or skyline ring, or £40 if your ring has a flush set diamond or sapphire stone set in it (other flush set gemstones cannot take heat therefore cannot be resized). Gold rings may incur an additional charge if the ring size has to go up a significant amount. Two tone coast rings and bezel set gemstone rings cannot be resized. You can send the ring back to Hannah with a note of the correct size (remember to be professionally measured for a WIDE flat band ring), and your return address but please contact us in the first instance to discuss the resizing. You can pay for the resizing by bank transfer or cheque, or we can send you an online link to pay.

Please not that we cannot accept returns on any personalised or bespoke orders.

My finger size is very large, will I have to pay extra?

If you have an unusually large (or small) finger size, we may need to adjust the price slightly, particularly on gold rings.  There is a lot more gold in a size Z ring than a size K, and with the price of gold fluctuating our prices are based on an average finger size. Any questions please do get in touch.

It’s for a surprise present and I don’t know the ring size, what can I do?

This is can be a problem as my rings are quite tricky to re-size because of the two part design. If the recipient has a ring that fits them on the same finger you intend the new ring for, then you could temporarily borrow it and take it to a jewellers and ask them to measure it for you. Or, if you can borrow it for slightly longer, you can send it to Hannah to have it measured. Alternatively, we can send you a ring sizer and a card to gift on the day so you have something to wrap up, and then we can work out the finer details once the cat is out of the bag!

As always, if you have any questions about ring measuring or our jewellery in general, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
