The Matterhorn Collection & My Trip to Zermatt
Hello my lovelies, how are you all?
Today I want to share with you some new designs, but first, a little about my amazing trip to Zermatt.
Team HLL have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Switzerland to celebrate my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary which is later this year. 50 years!!
All the Lambs were there, which is lovely as we don't often manage to get together, so it was me and my family, my brother and his, plus my Mum and Dad (aka Pops). Instead of a party, they wanted a family holiday to the snow instead. They absolutely love Zermatt, so we were excited to join them for the adventure.
Have you ever been to Zermatt?
It's an incredible place, a stunning town below the iconic Matterhorn mountain with trains that go right up to 3,100 metres and a cable car that reaches the glacier at 3,883 metres - the highest station in Europe! We enjoyed a week of sunshine, amazing views, cheese fondues and glistening snow. As the trip had been a long time in the planning I created some pieces of jewellery inspired by the Matterhorn to take with me and photograph in situ. Held in my pocket, I hoped I didn’t fall off my skis and squash them! The Matterhorn is one of my favourite mountains to cut with my saw, it's so famous. So, now we have a beautiful collection of Matterhorn jewellery. Obviously I still make any and all mountains, personalised to your own favourite, but if you, like me, have a love for the Matterhorn, here they are!
